3 years agoAtlanta Falcons running back Mike Davis tallied 15 touches for 61 scrimmage yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-20 win over the Jets. Davis struggled to find running room for much of the contest- and lost a fumble, though he salvaged a rough day with a three-yard rushing score in the fourth quarter. The veteran runner watched as Cordarrelle Patterson led the backfield with a whopping 21 touches, a trend that doesn't appear likely to change. Still, Davis is averaging 16 touches per game, volume that should lead to low-end RB2 production in the future. He'll get a bye to rest up before drawing a favorable matchup against a struggling Dolphins run defense in Week 7.--Tim Capurso
