Mike Fiers Lands On Disabled List To Start The Season
7 years agoThe questions surrounding the Detroit Tigers' starting rotation have been answered. With six starters fighting for five spots, many were wondering who would be the odd man out, but an injury to Mike Fiers (back) has taken care of that. Fiers has been dealing with back issues the past couple weeks and ultimately ended up on the 10-day disabled list, club sources announced late Wednesday night. Fiers was 8-10 last season with a 5.22 ERA for the Astros last season. It remains to be seen how he'll fit in once he's healthy. In the meantime, the rotation will be filled by Jordan Zimmermann, Michael Fulmer, Francisco Liriano, Matthew Boyd and Daniel Norris.
