6 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Mike Fiers will start against the Angels on Friday, which would line him up to make the start in the wild-card game against the Yankees next Wednesday. Fiers has had a solid season overall, but he's been much better after he went from Detroit to Oakland. In nine starts for the A's, Fiers is 5-1 with a 2.90 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 8.9 K/9. He'll be a great option in fantasy this Friday, but the same can't be said about next week if he starts against the Yanks, especially if it's in the Bronx. Fiers has been much more hittable (4.07 ERA, 1.16 WHIP) on the road that at home (2.81 ERA, 1.16 WHIP).--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
