6 years agoAtlanta Braves starter Mike Foltynewicz was roughed up by the Chicago Cubs on Thursday night. Foltynewicz went six innings, allowing five runs (four earned) on six hits while striking out five batters and walking two. The loss dropped his 2018 record to 10-9. This outing marked the first time in six August starts that Foltynewicz has given up more than two runs. He still has a stellar 2.80 ERA on the season coupled with an equally stellar 10.37 K/9. His next start projects to be against the high-powered Boston Red Sox, although Foltynewicz did limit them to one run through seven innings the last time he faced them.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
