Mike Gesicki Could Provide Help at Thin Position
5 years agoMiami Dolphins tight end Mike Gesicki has officially landed on the fantasy radar in a bleak 2019 season at the tight end position, with the second-year player quickly becoming a favorite target of quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. Gesicki racked up 95 yards on six catches last week, as the Dolphins beat the New York Jets for their first victory of the year. With teammate Preston Williams ruled out for the season with a knee injury, Gesicki should see his targets jump even more headed into a favorable matchup in Week 10 against an Indianapolis Colts Defense that's allowing the 10th-most fantasy points to tight ends this season. An athletic standout, Gesicki stands to benefit from Miami’s willingness to let Fitzpatrick throw deep and throw often, making him a viable streaming candidate at a weak position.
