Mike Gesicki - Week 1 Outlook For Fantasy Football
2 years agoMiami Dolphins tight end Mike Gesicki heads into the 2022 season with a clear grasp of the No. 1 position on the depth chart. He totaled 73 catches, 780 yards, and two touchdowns last season before the Dolphins franchise tagged him. Now, he is widely viewed as a low-end TE1 entering 2022, having seen his value drop slightly in the wake of the Tyreek Hill trade. Furthermore, with a matchup against the New England Patriots on tap, Gesicki could be in for an underwhelming finish. The Patriots have one of the best safety units in football, led by Kyle Dugger, who posted a 73.7 coverage grade (PFF) last season and surrendered just one catch on two targets last time he played Miami. Dugger could hinder Gesicki all game long, dropping him to the TE2 range for this contest.
