7 years agoThings are looking good for New England Patriots running back Mike Gillislee to get another shot at significant playing time in 2018 with free-agent Dion Lewis unlikely to return. Gillislee was pretty much a non-factor last year, rushing for only 383 yards in nine games, and he was a healthy scratch for much of the second half. He is owed only $1.9 million in 2018, so the Pats will likely keep him around to see what they can get. Rex Burkhead is also set to hit the open market, so New England's backfield could look considerably different next season. Gillislee may be tasked with handling early downs. Although he hasn't been all that productive in recent years, he does have a nose for the end zone and could be a touchdown-dependent fantasy option on a good team.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
