Mike Glennon's Time In Chicago Nearing An End
7 years agoChicago Bears backup quarterback Mike Glennon isn't long for Chicago, as the writing is clearly on the wall that he will not be playing for the Bears in 2018. Glennon was benched in Week 5 in favor of rookie Mitch Trubisky after he turned the ball over eight times in four games. Glennon's base salary in 2018 would be $12.5 million, which is way too much for a backup. Glennon also doesn't fit in with new head coach Matt Nagy's style of offense, but it's clear in Chicago that Trubisky is the future under center. Glennon has zero fantasy value unless he's somehow starting for a team in 2018, which is unlikely.
