7 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals relief pitcher Mike Mayers was called up from Triple-A Memphis on Friday to join the Cardinals bullpen. John Brebbia was sent to Memphis after a three-inning save on Wednesday and was replaced by John Gant. Gant was sent right back to Memphis on Friday after a three-inning win and will be replaced by Mayers. It seems like the last spot in the Cardinals bullpen will be a revolving door of fresh arms, called up and sent down based on their usage. Mayers has given up just one run in five innings with the Cardinals so far this season.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
