6 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Mike Minor allowed six earned runs, five hits and two walks with three strikeouts in Thursday's Opening Day loss against the Chicago Cubs. Minor managed to throw just 44 of his 76 pitches for strikes, serving up a solo homers to Javier Baez, one of the slugger's two homers. Minor also hit a batter and managed first-pitch strikes to just 10 of the 21 batters he faced. He'll look to rebound next Wednesday night in another difficult interleague matchup against Gerrit Cole and the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates.--Daniel Dobish
