4 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Mike Minor will look to get his season back on track against the Oakland Athletics on Thursday night. Minor is looking to put his last start behind him after giving up six runs in 5 2/3 innings to the San Francisco Giants. Minor had a 200 inning-200 strikeout season in 2019 and earned his status as a top-40 starting pitcher in drafts. He was fine in his first start of the year against Colorado and noted some mechanical flaws in his motion after the Giants game. Hopefully, the lefty has watched some tape and fixed those issues because Oakland has taken Rangers pitchers deep six times in the first two games of this series and is averaging 7.33 runs per game in their last three outings.--Euan Leith
