3 years agoCincinnati Reds manager David Bell acknowledged that starting pitcher Mike Minor (shoulder) might open the season on the injured list. Minor dealt with some early shoulder soreness in camp, but he's past it now. However, there likely isn't enough time for him to ramp up with a shortened spring training this year. It's the same story with many pitchers around baseball in 2022. The veteran left-hander was acquired from the Kansas City Royals in a minor trade earlier this spring, and when healthy, he'll be a lock for Cincy's starting rotation. Arms such as Hunter Greene, Nick Lodolo and Riley O'Brien could be options to open the year in the rotation if Minor isn't ready to go.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
