Mike Minor Roughed Up By The Bay
4 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Mike Minor did not have the start many would've expected on Friday night against the San Francisco Giants. Minor pitched five and two-thirds innings but gave up nine hits, six earned runs, two walks, and one home run while only striking out three Giants. It all unraveled in the fifth inning when Minor gave up a three-run jack to Wilmer Flores. He then allowed two more runs to score in the sixth inning before being pulled. He was a hard-luck loser in his first start, but tonight's loss was, unfortunately, on him. Minor has talked about some mechanical issues that have been bothering him in the early part of the season. Hopefully, some film watching can change that for his upcoming start. Fantasy managers should not drop him, but his next start against either the Athletics or Angels should be monitored closely.
