Mike Minor Struggles With Location In No-Decision
5 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Mike Minor allowed three earned runs, two hits and four walks with four strikeouts over 4 1/3 innings in a no-decision Tuesday against the Los Angeles Angels. He managed to throw just 69 of his 110 pitches for strikes, he hit a batter and he threw just 13 first-pitch strikes to the 21 batters he faced. The All-Star will now pitch in Sunday's game right before the break due to Monday's postponement, so he will be unavailable to pitch in Cleveland on Tuesday. He already mentioned he was considering skipping the honor anyway, this just cinches it. Lance Lynn, his rotation mate, might be the pitcher to replace him. Stay tuned.
