Mike Moustakas, Jesse Winker Not In Friday's Lineup

4 years agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Mike Moustakas and outfielder/designated hitter Jesse Winker will not start Friday against St. Louis and right-hander Adam Wainwright after both departed early Thursday with respective ailments. Moustakas had been hit on the foot by a pitch, while Winker is battling a back injury. Freddy Galvis slots in at the keystone Friday, while Aristides Aquino enters the starting nine, as both present upside DFS plays due to their low-end price tags. Winker has slowed tremendously as of late (.056 BA in his last seven games) after a torrid stretch during August, as Moustakas has delivered just a 94 OPS+ in 30 games. The next chance that either will have to start comes Saturday versus Cardinals righty Dakota Hudson.--Jesse Borek
