6 years agoCalgary Flames goaltender Mike Smith coughed up just two goals on 28 shots in Sunday's 3-1 loss at San Jose. It was a hard-luck loss, but the offense was able to cobble together just one goal on 30 shots, as Sharks netminder Martin Jones was just a little bit better. Smith needed a decent performance, as David Rittich earned a 1-0 shutout in Los Angeles in the previous game, and he is breathing down the neck of Smith for more playing time in the Flames' crease.--Daniel Dobish
