3 years agoEdmonton Oilers goaltender Mike Smith stopped all 29 shots in Saturday's 2-0 victory against Los Angeles, joining Curtis Joseph as the only netminders in franchise history to produce shutouts in a Game 7. Connor McDavid led the offense with a goal and an assist to finish the first round with 14 points, which marks the third-highest points tally ever in the opening round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Smith had an up-and-down ride throughout the series, but he was strong in the finishing part and that's all that matters. The veteran netminder had two shutouts in total in the series and finished it with a 2.29 goals-against average and a .938 save percentage.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
