3 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Mike Soroka (Achilles) stated that he still hopes to pitch in 2021. Soroka recently explained that his injury setback related to his body's rejection of the sutures from his first surgery. The good news, however, was that his second surgery revealed that his Achilles was healed from his first surgery and not damaged. Soroka had been prematurely ruled out for the remainder of the 2021 campaign, but it has been determined that he has a chance to return if he can build his calf strength back up. Soroka has not pitched since August of 2020. He is worth a stash in redraft formats, on the off-chance he does pitch in September. He should, of course, continue to be rostered in dynasty formats, particularly based on the good news that his first surgery was, in fact, successful.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
