4 years agoThe Atlanta Braves have placed starting pitcher Mike Soroka (Achilles) on the 45-day injured list and have recalled relievers Chad Sobotka and Huascar Ynoa on Tuesday. The club's Opening Day starter suffered a torn right Achilles' tendon during Monday's outing on an attempt to cover first base, and has been ruled out for the remainder of the season. It's disappointing news for Soroka and the Braves after the 23-year-old finished off the 2019 season with a 2.68 ERA and a 1.11 WHIP in the 13-win season. Hopefully, his recovery goes well and can return to the Braves healthy for the start of the 2021 campaign.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
