Mike Tauchman Had A Shoulder Injury Last Season
4 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Mike Tauchman dealt with shoulder issues for much of last season. Tauchman struggled in 2020 with a paltry .648 OPS over 43 games, and diminished power (23.4% hard-hit rate, .334 xwOBAcon) was a significant driver of his poor overall performance. It's certainly possible that Tauchman's shoulder issues were the root cause of his power decline, and fantasy managers should be cautiously optimistic about Tauchman's chances at a rebound in 2021 as a result. Tauchman will have to fight for playing time as a backup outfielder with the Yankees this season, but a return to 2019 form would make him a palatable DFS option when he plays.
