4 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Mike Tauchman stole a pair of bases as a pinch-runner on Thursday against the Blue Jays. Although it would be nice for Tauchman's fantasy value if Thursday was an indication of the team's usage plans for him, Thursday was an extreme situation. The Yankees used their entire four-man bench in Thursday's 10-inning affair, and Tauchman's steals came against a reliever Jordan Romano, who struggles to hold runners on base. Fantasy managers shouldn't read much into Thursday's performance from Tauchman as a result, and his value should remain flat.--Sam Chinitz
