Mike Tauchman Still In Consideration For Left Field Spot
7 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Mike Tauchman went 1-for-2 with a run on Wednesday in the 11-6 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Tauchman has had quite the spring training so far, going 13-for-42 (.302 batting average) with a home run and three stolen bases. Tauchman appears to be another Rockies player ready to make the jump from Triple-A to the majors, as he slashed .331/.386/.555 last year with the Albuquerque Isotopes and also racked up 13 stolen bases in 420 at-bats. There has been no official word on who will start in left field for Opening Day between Tauchman, David Dahl, Raimel Tapia or Ian Desmond, but for right now, fantasy players must keep Tauchman's name on their radar. If Tauchman does get the green light, he will provide high upside in stolen bases and hits.
