Mike Trout Not Playing Against Red Sox
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout is taking the day off on Thursday against the Boston Red Sox. It will be Trout's first day off since April 20. The nine-time All-Star continues to swing a hot bat to open the 2022 season, as he's slashing .316/.447/.671 with a 1.118 OPS, a league-leading 229 OPS+, six home runs, 11 RBI and a league-high 19 runs scored in his first 22 games. Make sure to remove him from fantasy lineups on Thursday, but get him right back in there to start the weekend on Friday. Brandon Marsh gets the start in center field and will hit eighth against Red Sox left-hander Rich Hill on Thursday, while Jack Mayfield is in right field and batting seventh.
