6 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk, a run scored and two RBI in Friday's 6-2 road victory against the Oakland Athletics. Trout has hit safely in each of his first two games, which is to be expected, and he also has a pair of walks and no strikeouts so far. Over the past three seasons he has cut down his strikeout totals while increasing his walks. He has 332 free passes and 351 strikeouts in 413 games, and he set a career high last season with a .460 on-base percentage and 1.088 OPS. There's a reason the Halos just showered him with a ton of riches.--Daniel Dobish
