2 years agoLos Angeles Angels skipper Phil Nevin provided an update on outfielder Mike Trout (ribs) on Tuesday, saying, "Progressing like we think. Basically, it's a lot of rest right now as we manage our way through his IL days. It's just more with these back things ... it's more of a day-to-day thing. I meet with the trainers, I'll meet again later on today." Trout received a cortisone shot last Friday and remains on the injured list without a firm date for a return to action. The struggling Angels would like him back more than anything, but they won't rush one of the best players in baseball. There's still hope that he can return later this week.
