2 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout (back, ribs) started rotational work on Wednesday, which is intended to build him up to the point where he's able to swing, according to head athletic trainer Mike Frostad. However, there is no specific timetable on when he'll resume swinging a bat. The good news is that Trout is progressing as expected. Alarm bells sounded when it was reported that the 30-year-old superstar might be dealing with a chronic back injury, but Trout downplayed the seriousness of his injury and expects to return in 2022. He's been out since July 16, though, and fantasy managers need to remain patient with one of the best players in the game. Before his injury, Trout was slashing .270/.368/.599 with a .967 OPS, 24 home runs, 51 RBI, 55 runs scored and one stolen base in 282 at-bats.
