Mike Trout Takes "Dry Swings" On Saturday
2 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout (back) took dry swings Saturday and had no issues. The 30-year-old superstar had been sidelined since the All-Star break due to a rare back called costovertebral dysfunction. He will increase activity, and the Angels will see how he feels afterward. "Everything went well" today, said head athletic trainer Mike Frostad. Trout slashed .270/.368/.599 with a .967 OPS, 24 home runs, 51 RBI, 55 runs scored, and one stolen base in 282 at-bats before landing on the injured list. Trout is trending in the right direction in his recovery, but it remains unclear if he returns to action this season.
