7 years agoLos Angeles Angels superstar outfielder Mike Trout is batting leadoff for the Angels on Tuesday against Gerrit Cole and the Houston Astros. With Ian Kinsler struggling and getting demoted to No. 7 and Zack Cozart getting the night off, Trout will hit leadoff with Japanese sensation Shohei Ohtani batting second. It's unlikely that Trout will stick in the leadoff spot, as manager Mike Scioscia likes him in the No. 2 spot. Still, batting leadoff gives Trout extra at-bats and more run-scoring opportunities, although it may hurt his RBI chances. Keep an eye on if this is a recurring thing.--patton
