2 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout (back) reportedly took batting practice on Sunday, according to a tweet from The Athletic's Sam Blum. Blum wrote, "Phil Nevin said Mike Trout did a full round of BP today, more than yesterday." Blum also noted in his tweet that Trout's "outlook sounds optimistic that he can begin hitting off of live pitching at some point soon." Prior to landing on the injured list, Trout was in the midst of enjoying another strong year at the plate, hitting .270 with a .368 on-base percentage, 24 home runs and a stolen base in 326 plate appearances for the Angels this season.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
