3 years agoTennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill recently caused an uproar by stating it wasn't his job to mentor Malik Willis. A third-round pick, Willis was a highly coveted option ahead of the 2022 NFL Draft, with many projections having the former Liberty Flame going as early as the first round. However, while it appears the rookie is in line to take over under center eventually, head coach Mike Vrabel reiterated that the 33-year-old Tannehill is the starter and "not a mentor or a coach." Nevertheless, despite Vrabel's recent update, Tannehill may find himself benched during the year if he starts to play poorly, which could happen considering the Titans no longer have Julio Jones or A.J. Brown on the roster. Yet, even if Willis moves to the top of the depth chart, it will likely take a while before he has a chance of producing on the fantasy end.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
