6 years agoThe Philadelphia Eagles placed wide receiver Mike Wallace (leg) on Injured Reserve on Wednesday with a fractured fibula. In a corresponding move, the Eagles signed receiver Jordan Matthews. Matthews has dealt with a hamstring injury and was cut by the Patriots, but he has 117 targets (led the team) from quarterback Carson Wentz in 2016. Matthews also had 73 catches for 804 yards that season, and he averages 11.3 yards per catch in his career. While Matthews' addition gives the team much-needed depth behind Nelson Agholor with Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) still out, he's not a realistic fantasy starting option this weekend. Wallace could be back after eight weeks, but it seems likely that his season is over.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
