3 years agoLos Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams (illness) was activated off of the COVID list and will play against the Denver Broncos in Week 17. Williams has been in a prolonged slump since his hot start to the season when he was running a full route tree and being hyper-targeted. Now, he seems like himself from years past. Since Week 6, the deep-threat is on pace for 59 receptions, 876 yards, and only two touchdowns. Williams is better than those stats show, but fantasy managers should avoid starting him if possible. He still holds immense upside due to his long play and touchdown upside, but in his first week back from COVID against a good defense, this isn't the week to gamble on him breaking out of his slump. Even if fantasy managers aren't starting Williams, his presence does bolster the Chargers' other key pieces. Both Justin Herbert and Keenan Allen receive major upgrades since, even if Williams fails to produce, he will stretch the field and demand defensive attention more so than the likes of Joshua Palmer.--Jordan Eisen
