Mike Williams Dealing With Heel Injury
3 years agoLos Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams (heel) was an estimated DNP on Monday ahead of the team's Thursday night matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs. It doesn't seem like something that should hold him out of action, but it is worth monitoring considering that the Chargers are on a short week. Williams has found a bit more consistency in his game as of late, so he could provide fantasy managers with WR2 value in what should be a high-scoring game between two prolific offenses. The former Clemson star was able to post seven catches for 122 yards and two touchdowns in his first meeting against Kansas City, so there is a chance for one of his signature explosion games in this one. In potential shootouts, Williams is a much more appealing option as we have seen Justin Herbert connect on a few deep passes over the past couple of weeks. If he is unable to suit up, Josh Palmer would once again have a significant role in the offense after he posted five catches for 66 yards and a score in Week 14.
