4 years agoLos Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams (shoulder) is not expected to suit up on Sunday against the Bengals in Week 1. Williams hurt his shoulder early in camp and was limited in practice throughout the week. Williams is coming off of a strong season with 89 catches and 1001 yards, but has downgraded at quarterback with the departure of Philip Rivers. The Chargers will open the season with Tyrod Taylor behind center, but also have first-round pick Justin Herbert. Williams will also be competing with Austin Ekeler, Hunter Henry and Keenan Allen for touches. Williams should be treated at a wide receiver four or five entering the season. Look for Joe Reed and Jalen Guyton to receive more snaps if Williams is indeed out. Both are best suited as dart throws in DFS.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
