6 years agoLos Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams hauled in five catches for 81 yards in Week 1 against the Chiefs. Despite playing the fewest number of snaps among wide receivers, his six targets trailed only Keenan Allen within the group. During a game in which Travis Benjamin certainly didn't do himself any favors by dropping two potential touchdown passes from quarterback Philip Rivers, Williams rose to the occasion as the Chargers battled from behind on the scoreboard, converting all five of his receptions into first downs. Williams could start to ascend the Chargers depth chart with performances like Sunday's. It's much too early to consider throwing him into starting fantasy lineups, but if he's available on your waiver wire, you should grab him before it's too late.--Chris O'Reilly
