Mike Yastrzemski Caps Sunday With Two-Run Homer
4 years agoSan Francisco Giants outfielder Mike Yastrzemski made sure the Giants had some wiggle room in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Pirates, going 1-for-5 with a two-run home run and two strikeouts. Yastrzemski blasted a ninth-inning David Bednar fastball over the right-field fence for his fifth HR of the season to give the Giants a three-run lead. The 30-year-old has been a big disappointment to this point, slashing just .215/.311/.477 with 10 RBI. Hopefully, this HR can help him get things going.
