4 years agoSan Francisco Giants outfielder Mike Yastrzemski (oblique) was placed on the injured list prior to Wednesday's game with an oblique strain, according to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle. The move is retroactive to Monday, which means Yastrzemski will be eligible to come off the injured list next Thursday. Yastrzemski is slashing .215/.303/.468 with four home runs, six RBI and 11 runs over his first 22 games this season. With Yastrzemski out, newly acquired outfielder Mike Tauchman will figure to see a fair amount of playing time over the next week.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
