Mike Zunino Crushes 20th Homer On Friday
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays catcher Mike Zunino went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Friday's 7-3 win over the Red Sox. He took Martin Perez deep in the fourth inning for his 20th long ball of the season. The 30-year-old has now recorded his fourth 20-homer season of his career. Zunino is slashing .194.293/.512 with 20 homers, 39 RBI, and 37 runs scored across 242 plate appearances in 2021. Despite the low batting average, the Rays catcher continues to be an elite source of power and is currently second among all backstops in home runs.
