3 years agoTampa Bay Rays catcher Mike Zunino went 1-for-3 with a solo home run during Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Seattle Mariners. He launched a solo shot off Drew Steckenrider in the sixth inning for his 21st long ball of the season. The 30-year-old has now homered twice in his last four games. Zunino is slashing .192/.291/.511 with 21 home runs, 40 RBI, and 39 runs scored over 251 plate appearances in 2021. The former Seattle Mariner is second among all backstops in home runs, trailing only behind Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez (27). Despite the low batting average, Zunino is an elite source of power and a solid C2 in two-catcher formats.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
