Mike Zunino Has Rehab Plans Detailed
Seattle Mariners catcher Mike Zunino is getting closer and closer to returning from his oblique injury. Zunino is slated to catch between five and six innings in his first rehab game with the Modesto Nuts. He will then be the designated hitter in the next contest, followed by catching all nine innings of the third game of the series against the Stockton Ports. The backstop is then slated to rejoin the Mariners after the three-game rehab stint. Zunino is coming off of a season in which he hit 25 home runs, knocked in 64 RBI and carried a slash line of .251/.331/.509 in 124 games. He is in the upper-echelon of fantasy catchers and will be a boost to many lineups once he is activated.
