6 years agoSeattle Mariners catcher Mike Zunino will finish up the month of August mired in a 6-for-47 (.128) slump over his last 15 games played. He does have five home runs this month but is slashing .177/.241/.392 with 33 strikeouts over his last 79 at-bats. No one can say that Zunino lacks power but his inability to get on base and hit for average is a huge fantasy deterrent. He has 127 strikeouts through 304 at-bats and hitting a disastrous .167 with runners in scoring position. He will most likely finish in the top-5 among catchers in home runs but is not worth a fantasy roster spot the rest of the season.--Joey C - RotoBaller
