3 years agoUpdating a previous report, Tampa Bay Rays manager Kevin Cash said that as of now, the team doesn't consider catcher Mike Zunino's biceps injury as something that would lead to a stint on the injured list. Part of the reason Zunino was removed from the game early on Tuesday against the Seattle Mariners was because of the lopsided score at the time. The 31-year-old suffered a strained left biceps after striking out in his lone plate appearance of the game, and even if he doesn't land on the injured list, fantasy managers shouldn't expect him to play on Wednesday. With Francisco Mejia on the COVID list, Rene Pinto is the only other catcher on the Rays current big-league roster. Zunino came into Tuesday's game with just three hits, one RBI and no home runs in his first 11 games of the season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
