6 years agoThe Ottawa Senators made a big trade, acquiring Mikkel Boedker, Julius Bergman and a sixth-round draft pick in 2020 for Mike Hoffman, Cody Donaghey and a fifth-round draft pick in 2020. Boedker had high praise for when he was with the Arizona Coyotes and his short tenure with the Colorado Avalanche as a top-six forward in the NHL. However, he has lost value with two very disappointing seasons on the San Jose Sharks. With the Sharks, he only put up 63 points in 155 games, leaving his $4 million salary as a burden to the team. With the Senators lack of forward depth, he could very well get a chance to play in the top six with forwards such as Matt Duchene and Mark Stone. However, he will have to prove his value on the Senators and should not be picked in redraft formats.--Caden Inaba
