5 years agoEdmonton Oilers goaltenders Mikko Koskinen and Mike Smith are expected to split time in between the pipes during the 2019-20 season. Head coach Dave Tippett isn't exactly sure of what the split will be, but it's likely to be a hot hand type situation heading out of the gate. Koskinen earned a huge payday after firing out of the gate last season, but he took a step back in the second half. Smith was brought in during the offseason, and has been accustomed to starting in the past. It will be an interesting battle to watch in training camp and the preseason. Both should be considered No. 3 fantasy backstops until further notice.--Daniel Dobish
