2 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders did not record a rushing attempt but hauled in two catches for 20 yards in Friday's preseason loss to the New York Jets. He had reportedly been "struggling in the passing game," so during training as he "continues to fight the ball at times." However, the 25-year-old caught both of his targets on the opening drive Friday night, taking them 20 yards in total. Sanders tied Quez Watkins for the most targets from quarterback Jalen Hurts last night, with the only rush attempt of the drive being called back due to a holding penalty. Seeing Sanders not only used in the passing game early but be effective was nice after the negative reports from camp. He will still have to contend with second-year back Kenneth Gainwell, who did not suit up Friday night due to a hip injury, for targets during the regular season. Sanders is still a potential value with his draft price holding in the seventh round.--Ryan Larrison - RotoBaller
