Miles Sanders Officially Ruled Out For Saturday
3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders (hand) missed practice all week and has officially been ruled out for the Week 18 regular season finale on Saturday against the Dallas Cowboys. The expectation all along was that Sanders wouldn't return until the postseason after breaking his hand in Week 16. He had 100-yard performances in two of his last three games, but Sanders finishes the regular season with no touchdowns scored in 12 games, carrying the ball 137 times for 754 yards (career-high 5.5 yards per carry). Both Boston Scott and Jordan Howard are on the COVID-19 list and are up in the air to play Saturday. If neither are able to clear the league's COVID protocols, rookie Kenneth Gainwell may be thrust into a lead-back role.
