Minnesota Releases Albert Wilson Amid Roster Cuts
2 years agoThe Minnesota Vikings have moved on from wide receiver Albert Wilson in an attempt to trim their roster ahead of the regular season. Wilson, despite catching a pair of touchdowns in the team's season opener, faced an uphill battle to make the Vikings' roster with the team's depth at the position. The 30-year-old has spent seven seasons between the Chiefs and Dolphins, having started five games with Miami as recently as last year. Now 30 years old, the undrafted free agent will be looking for a new home ahead of Week 1, with his fantasy prospects set to be held in abeyance until then. The duo of Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen figure to see as many pass-catching opportunities as they can handle, leaving K.J. Osborn as the only other potentially fantasy relevant pass-catcher.
