Vikings Draft Defensive Tackle James Lynch
5 years agoWith the 130th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings selected Baylor defensive tackle James Lynch. The junior had 41 tackles last season and showed huge improvement in his ability to get into the backfield, finishing with 13.5 sacks and 19.5 tackles for losses. With Linval Joseph gone, Minnesota needed to add talent on the interior of the defensive line, and Lynch definitely has talent. He’s not the most athletic defender and might not play a ton immediately, but he was a productive college player who could rotate in right off the bat.
