Mitch Garver Enjoys Four-Hit Afternoon
6 years agoMinnesota Twins catcher Mitch Garver enjoyed a career day in his team's 12-6 win over the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday. Garver went 4-for-6 with a double, a homer, two runs, and five RBI to power his team to an extra-inning victory. Both the four hits and five RBI go down as career highs for the 27-year-old. Garver has been the Twins' primary catcher since Jason Castro underwent knee surgery earlier in the season. He is now batting .270 with a .767 OPS, five homers, 10 doubles, and 20 RBI for the Twins. He doesn't need to be owned in standard fantasy leagues but he hits lefties well and is worth a look in daily fantasy when there's a southpaw on the mound.
