4 years agoMinnesota Twins catcher Mitch Garver will get the day off on Sunday in the final game of the series against the Chicago White Sox. The 29-year-old said earlier in summer camp that he'd like to catch 40-45 games in the shortened season, so that will mean rest days here and there. In two games so far this season, Garver is 2-for-6 with an RBI and a pair of walks. Alex Avila will make his debut in a Minnesota uniform behind the plate and will bat ninth against right-hander Reynaldo Lopez.--Tim Capurso
